On the 2nd April 1982 a group of
islands in the South Atlantic, known to some as the Falklands and
to others as the Malvinas, was invaded by Argentina, what happened
next is now history....
"We have lots of new friends"
With these words, Port Stanley's
telex operator broke the news of the invasion to a stunned and
disbelieving Britain.
